Yep, you're right! You can plant onions pretty much anytime though. Well, at least here you can. I planted our first ones in the spring last year and then planted more in the fall.
I wanted to tell you that I saw your giveaway of the coasters. I didn't reply, not because I don't think they are adorable coasters, but because I don't have a coffee table either. It was funny that you had the same problem. It must have something to do with little ones, banged up heads, broken teeth, needing more floor space,etc... I hope the coasters go to the perfect home for them!
Things are springing up everywhere! We had a bit of rain the other day (after a couple of weeks of dry weather) and within 24 hours the vegetable patches were absolutely full of seedlings.

Daily Bible Verse
“And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.” -Matthew 20: 17-19
