It's 81 degrees in my house right now. And it's only 55 degrees outside- and raining. I'm baking bread and I need the house to be warm for the bread to rise. Our wood stove is working better than I'd like it to! I think I'll change into shorts and a tank top, put my hair in a pony tail and make some lemonade.
But before I do I wanted to share this quilt. I have 2 baby showers this weekend and thankfully, both of the new moms to be are horsey folk. And they're both having girls. Phew. That made quilt making much easier! Here is the one I did for Saturdays shower. I made it simple with 4" squares and then raw edge appliqued a few cowgirls.
I still need to add the binding onto the one for Sundays shower. That's on my to do list for tomorrow! I'll share pics of that one when it's done too.
Also on my to do list for tomorrow is to get some pictures taken of a new quilt I'll be adding to my shop. Now, don't all of you fall out of your chair at once. Yes, I really have been sewing. My machine has no dust on it and I have a new quilt to list! Yahoo!

Super cute! My daughter is a horse fanatic.. she would love this one.
She made her very own quilt a few months ago (in Jan. and she is only 7!) and of course it had to be a cowgirl quilt.
That is so cute. I ordered some fabric. It was my present to myself. I can't wait.
That's funny that we were just talking about baking bread. It also sounds as if you are creating your own summer...smart girl!
