getting it ready

We're slowly in the process of getting our house ready to sell. When I say slowly, I'm not joking. It really is slow. While my parents were here though my Dad helped out a bunch and painted our dining area and our side door! I LOVE new paint. It cleans things up super quickly! Now I don't want to put anything back up on the walls because it looks so uncluttered! (Unlike the rest of my house!)
Update: Since a couple of you asked; we're not moving far. Just to more property. To afford it though we have to get this house and our rental house ready to sell. Our home isn't as much work as our rental though. Our goal is to have everything ready to put up for sale next year. We'll see how that goes!

I know exactly what you mean. We did this to my kitchen several months ago and I still cannot bring myself to put anything on the walls! It looks great.

It looks like a nice, warm color.
I feel the spring-clean bug coming on. I'm ready to dig in and declutter around here!

Moving?! oh my, what a job. Close/far? Love the dining room, but especially that corner cabinet!

Super nice to have parents to help you with the painting and all! Are you taking your corner cupboard or does it stay with the house? Tell us where you are moving to.... and when?? We moved from PA to KY in '03 and it took 3 semi-loads! That included farm equipment. Thankfully we owned the semi :)

It's hard to get a home ready for sale when you're living in it...you're doing fine!

fresh paint always makes such a huge difference. i wish i was more motivated to paint my house...there are several rooms that could use a little paint perk up
