Then when it's done working I cold pack for 30 min after it begins to boil. Hope yours turns out well! So much good Vit C in there...Sunnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05627362326166805915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5677866446660565018.post-8621934735569018722010-03-02T13:12:05.975-08:002010-03-02T13:12:05.975-08:00Really!!!???... you eat it every night!

I decided to go visit our oldest daughter the same weekend that they were ready to be water bathed, so my hubby and 8 other kids put up more than 300 pints! Hubby didn't want to do that again, so now we just do a jar or two at a time! ;0)

We had to "mush" our cabbage down with a wooden baseball bat!!Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05741321309330513890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5677866446660565018.post-45137804738441212352010-02-27T12:07:56.056-08:002010-02-27T12:07:56.056-08:00wow what a great idea...looks pretty easy. i love ...wow what a great idea...looks pretty easy. i love it but my husband claims to hate it. i did not know that it had great nutritional value. i am intriguesLesliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11183716038434262407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5677866446660565018.post-70933156991517742572010-02-27T11:10:28.348-08:002010-02-27T11:10:28.348-08:00Even though I hate this food, I do appreciate the ...Even though I hate this food, I do appreciate the effort and time that goes into it's making!

Enjoy!Deehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11367663127351652530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5677866446660565018.post-65168609881218175962010-02-27T11:03:32.565-08:002010-02-27T11:03:32.565-08:00Is sauerkraut actually nice though? We can grow cabbages incredibly easily, but I'm always stuck for ideas to do with them and have always been a bit scared of kraut!Islayhttp://www.islaybower.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5677866446660565018.post-29169978410373017342010-02-27T11:01:23.237-08:002010-02-27T11:01:23.237-08:00It looks really good. I did the first couple of batches, then decided that it made the kraut too mushy. Also, I put whey in - about a tsp for this size. You can also add spices and other veggies....
