Yep, you're right! You can plant onions pretty much anytime though. Well, at least here you can. I planted our first ones in the spring last year and then planted more in the fall.
I wanted to tell you that I saw your giveaway of the coasters. I didn't reply, not because I don't think they are adorable coasters, but because I don't have a coffee table either. It was funny that you had the same problem. It must have something to do with little ones, banged up heads, broken teeth, needing more floor space,etc... I hope the coasters go to the perfect home for them!
Things are springing up everywhere! We had a bit of rain the other day (after a couple of weeks of dry weather) and within 24 hours the vegetable patches were absolutely full of seedlings.
